This 7-day Kenya and Tanzania safari takes you from the big-cat country of the Maasai Mara to the endless plains of the Serengeti, with 6 nights of unforgettable experiences along the way.
The Maasai Mara is Kenya's best-known reserve: rolling grassland with outstanding big cat sightings, large herds all year and, roughly from July to October, the Great Wildebeest Migration. The Serengeti hosts much of the Great Migration through the year, with outstanding predator sightings.
Transport in a 4x4 safari vehicle with an experienced driver-guide, park fees and accommodation are all arranged for you, so you can relax and enjoy every moment. Stays are at handpicked luxury lodges and camps, where exceptional service and settings complete the experience. Travel dates, accommodation level and pace can all be adjusted to suit you — just ask our team.

Your Kenyan safari begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Nairobi or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, followed by a scenic drive down into the Great Rift Valley, pausing at the viewpoint over the escarpment, before continuing west through Maasai country to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon, head out on your first game drive across the open savannah in search of lions, elephants, giraffes and the rest of the Mara's remarkable wildlife. Head back in the evening for dinner and a well-earned rest.

Overnight: A lodge or tented camp in the Maasai Mara

A full day exploring the Maasai Mara, Kenya's most celebrated wildlife reserve. Set out after breakfast with a picnic lunch and follow the rhythm of the plains — lions resting in the shade, cheetahs scanning the grass from termite mounds and great herds of wildebeest, zebra and topi grazing to the horizon. Between July and October your guide will keep an eye on the Mara River, where the dramatic migration crossings take place. Return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Early morning is when the predators are most active, so set off as the plains come to life, then spend the day exploring further corners of the reserve — the riverine forest where leopards hide, the hippo pools along the Mara River and the wide plains in between. Head back in the evening for dinner and a well-earned rest.

Embark on an extraordinary seven-day luxury safari through Kenya and Tanzania with Boze Adventures. This exclusive journey brings together two of Africa's most celebrated wildlife destinations: the Maasai Mara National Reserve and Tanzania's Serengeti National Park. Designed for discerning travellers, this experience combines exceptional wildlife encounters, elegant accommodation, personalized safari experiences and scenic flights to create an unforgettable African adventure.
From the rolling grasslands of the Maasai Mara to the vast, wildlife-rich plains of the Serengeti, every destination offers a unique perspective on Africa's natural beauty. Enjoy expertly guided game drives, search for the Big Five, encounter herds of wildebeest and zebras, and discover the landscapes that make East Africa one of the world's leading safari regions.
Your adventure begins in Kenya's renowned Maasai Mara, a destination famous for its remarkable wildlife diversity, open savannahs and spectacular predator sightings. Spend three nights enjoying the comfort of a carefully selected luxury safari lodge or tented camp, with time to explore the reserve on guided game drives.
Look out for lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and other wildlife as your professional guide takes you through the Mara's varied habitats. Depending on the season, you may also encounter the Great Wildebeest Migration, when vast herds move through the greater Serengeti–Mara ecosystem.
One of the highlights of your stay is a sunrise hot-air balloon safari over the Maasai Mara. Drift above the plains as the landscape awakens, taking in spectacular aerial views of the wilderness. Following your flight, enjoy a celebratory bush breakfast before continuing your safari. Balloon flights are weather-dependent and must be confirmed with the operator.
Continue your East African adventure in Tanzania's legendary Serengeti National Park, where expansive grasslands, rocky kopjes and diverse wildlife create exceptional opportunities for game viewing. Spend three nights in a luxury safari lodge or exclusive tented camp, enjoying the comfort and hospitality of your selected accommodation.
Explore the Serengeti with an experienced safari guide and look for lions resting on rocky outcrops, leopards in acacia trees, elephants crossing the plains and large herds of grazing wildlife. Your daily game drives can be tailored around wildlife movements, photography interests and the time available.
A second sunrise hot-air balloon safari over the Serengeti adds another unforgettable dimension to your journey. Float above the vast plains in the early morning light before landing for a celebratory breakfast in the bush. This experience is subject to weather, operator availability and confirmation in your final package quotation.
This seven-day safari includes six nights of accommodation, with three nights in the Maasai Mara and three nights in the Serengeti. Accommodation can be selected according to your preferred level of luxury, privacy and budget.
For an ultra-luxury experience, consider Angama Mara in Kenya and Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti in Tanzania, subject to availability and the final quotation. Angama Mara offers panoramic views over the Mara landscape, while Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti combines refined accommodation with wildlife viewing in central Serengeti. Both properties offer access to memorable safari experiences, including hot-air ballooning. Explore Angama Mara and Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti.
Travel between the two countries will be arranged around available flight schedules, airstrip transfers and the selected lodges. Because there is no direct tourist route between the Maasai Mara and Serengeti through the reserve boundary, regional flight connections must be planned in advance.

The Maasai Mara is rewarding all year. The dry months from June to October give the easiest game viewing, and the wildebeest migration is usually in the Mara from about July to October, with river crossings most likely in August and September. January and February are also dry and a little quieter, while the long rains (April–May) bring green landscapes and lower prices.
